A Louis XVI style, a neoclassical design that emerged in France in the late 18th century as a move away from the ornate curves of the earlier Rococo period. The chairs have straight, tapered legs that resemble classical columns.
The legs and the backrest frame feature vertical grooves (fluting), a motif inspired by ancient Greek and Roman architecture.
Carved floral rosette squares are visible at the top of the legs where they meet the seat frame. The overall silhouette is clean and balanced.
The chairs are upholstered in a neutral-toned vertical striped fabric, which reinforces the formal, linear style. The armchairs have a coordinating exquisite floral pattern.
The side chairs measure 40 3/4 inches in height, 22.25 inches in width and 20 1/2 inches in depth. The armchairs measures 40 3/4 inches in height, 25 inches in width and 20 1/2 inches in depth. The chairs are in Excellent "Mint" Condition. See less
