Hermes Napoleon silk scarf, 1985, designed by Philippe Ledoux.
This damask scarf, featuring Napoleon's emblem, is a glorious tribute. At its center is a painting of the Emperor's marriage to Marie-Louise of Austria by Étienne Barthélémy Garnier, with his military campaigns depicted in the corners.
Emblematic elements are represented, including two flags surmounted by eagles. On the left, the First Consul's coat stands out, and on the right, his
Chasseurs à Cheval uniform. Also featured are the Grand Collar of the Legion of Honor, the swords of the First Consul and the Emperor, two sabers from the Egyptian campaign, and, most symbolically, the iconic hat.
The colors are soft, a pale blue on a beige background. The yellow and light brown accentuate the softness of the pastel shades.
