It was purchased many years ago in a San Francisco shop.
The console has very nice details on all its parts including beautifully carved flared top ends. The back of the cabinet is finished and as well detailed, so it is attractive from all angles. It has two dovetailed drawers with beautiful brass handles. The interior dimensions of the drawers are 12" wide x 14.5" deep each. One of the drawers has some scratches on the inside. The drawers are nicely finished on the underside. The drawers function properly, as do the two bottom swing doors. The two doors have handsome brass hardware and interior measurements of 31"wide x 16"'deep. The overall dimensions of the piece are 42.75" wide x 17.5" deep x 34.25" high. The wood itself has a reddish brown hue to it. The brass hardware hasn't been polished and has its natural vintage patina. There is a slight separation of the wood on the top and there is a faint water ring on the lower right corner of the top. All in all it is in excellent condition considering its age with a couple of minor nicks that can be touched up and a small indentation. See less
