Antique Japanese woodblock print of Koto instrument maker by Minko Tachibana. This is a woodblock print from the 1916 reprint of Minko Tachibana’s 1770 illustrated book the Saiga Shokunin Burui, depicting 28 different artisans / craftsmen. The woodblock print has been newly framed. The Koto is the national instrument of Japan and has been used for over a thousand years.
CONDITION: Excellent condition for age. Please note that antique and vintage artworks may have traces of time, stains and creases due to age, so please review all photos.
PERIOD: Printed in 1916
SIZE: The image is 8” x 12.5”. Frame size 13” x 17”.
