Creating an … Read more This abstract painting is by artist MARJORIE SCHLOSSMAN (American, b. 1944), who painted with oil, pen and ink. Creating an impressive organic feel, the painting is matted, and framed in a beige wood molding under glass. Measuring; 19.5” high X 21.25” wide X .25”’deep. It is signed in the LR and titled “Just Folk” in the LL. Naturally, it’s wired and ready for immediate hanging.

Schlossman is an amazing fine art abstract painter who resides and paints in Fargo, ND. Her paintings have been exhibited in many regional museums, and in both several public exhibitions and private collections nationwide. She has exhibited from the Bay Area of California to the London Biennale.

Her collaborative works of art are often inspired and intertwined with poets, composers, architects (public installations) and sculpture. Schlossman has appeared in documentary films and in several books.

Additionally, her artistry besides painting in all mediums, her talents include being a violinist. Aside from a full time artist with multiple studios, she’s a proud wife, mother of 7 children and 19 grandchildren.
