Vast swathes of indigo river and sky contrast with the pale, stylized buildings and bridge. The architecture is reduced to simple geometrics and the figures in the crowd are faceless. The main character of this piece is the bridge, with its stone facade rendered like candy coated disco ball tiles. It towers over the composition while the small figures on it are almost entirely enveloped by the inky night sky. This oil on canvas measures 24 x 24 inches. The canvas edges are painted down and feature rounded nailheads spaced every 3 inches. See less
