A rare iconic Barockbrickan (Baroque Tray) in a stunning, high-gloss Green. Manufactured in Italy by Spisani and marketed by the legendary Swedish design house Firma Svenskt Tenn, this tray is a masterclass in 1970s European glamour.
This particular finish is a sophisticated, translucent green acrylic that is truly a chameleon under different lighting. In softer, ambient light, it presents as a deep, luxurious Forest Green. When placed near a window or under direct light, the material glows with a vibrant Emerald transparency, beautifully highlighting the iconic scalloped edges.
While crafted from modern high-gloss acrylic, the tray’s scalloped, undulating edges draw directly from 18th-century Baroque forms. This Modern-Baroque hybrid was a signature of the Svenskt Tenn aesthetic, designed to soften the rigid lines of Mid-Century Modern interiors with organic movement and rich color. Its deep green hue is a signature color of the era and pairs perfectly with Josef Frank’s classic botanical textiles.
