These classic American chairs feature richly … Read more These are a striking pair of Golden Oak press-back dining chairs in excellent condition. These classic American chairs feature richly detailed relief-pressed foliate and scroll motifs across the upper back panel and lower back rail, framed by elegant turned stiles with finial tops. Seven turned spindles connect the upper and lower pressed panels, and the solid wood seat is gently contoured for comfort. Turned legs are joined by decorative turned stretchers on all sides.

The warm honey oak finish is intact and glowing. Solid and sturdy.

Romantic, handcrafted aesthetic that works beautifully in farmhouse, French country, classic American, and eclectic interiors alike. Would be delightful at a dining table, desk, or as a pop of character in vignettes around the house (eg. entryway, guest bed).

Stamped RT25-334 on underside of seat. Maker unidentified. Consistent with American Golden Oak press-back production of the late 19th–early 20th century, or a quality reproduction of that period.
