Jones was a painter born in Hawkinsville, GA. She settled in Brooklyn, New York with her husband, painter Eugene Arther Jones, and studied at the Adelphi Academy; F.J. Boston; Johonnot and Gourget. She was a member of the Brooklyn Society of Painters and Sculptors; National Assoc. of Women Artists; Brooklyn Society of Artists; Southern States Arts League; Boston Arts Club; Lg. Amer. Pen Women, and exhibited at the 1939 World's Fair in New York; National Academy of Design; Allied Artists of America; Women's Engineering Club; Adelphi College; Columbia University; Brooklyn Museum: Brooklyn College and the Pratt Institute.
