Each of ovoid outline with applied nicely cast ormolu mounts and twin decorative leaf capped scrolling handles, twin flame formed finials, ending on a circular shaped ormolu waisted socle, raised on square stepped marble bases supported on four ormolu pad feet.

Condition: These stylish pair are offered in original perfect condition with nice surface patination, no losses anywhere. Back and front views are similar.

Rosso Levanto Marble, is a highly decoartive variety of Italian marble with a distinctive quite dark reddish brown color already used by the Romans for the construction of columns, floors and seldom found decorative items. The background of this stone is characterized by a predominantly reddish pigmentation, due to the presence of iron oxides, on which a striking and dense interweaving of glossy white veins stands out.
