Richly grained walnut trestle cocktail/coffee table with drawer, designed and built for the estate of Gregory Peck by architect Avery Rennick. The table is hand-signed by Rennick and from the 1930s or '40s.
Avery Rennick (1902-2003) was a renowned California-based furniture maker active in the early and mid-20th century, known for high-quality custom wooden pieces showcasing expert craftsmanship and character. In addition to designing furniture, or furnishing entire estates, for actors, luminaries, and prominent California families, Rennick was famous for developing the legendary Sunset Strip in Los Angeles.
