On 21 … Read more A stunning bronze sculptures of one of Britain's greatest ever military heroes, dating from the late 20th Century. On 21 October 1805, the Franco-Spanish fleet came out of port and Admiral Horatio Nelson's fleet engaged them at the Battle of Trafalgar. The battle was Britain's greatest naval victory, but Nelson was hit by a French sharpshooter and mortally wounded. This high quality hot cast solid bronze was produced using the traditional "lost wax" process, otherwise known as the "cire perdue" method. The attention to detail in capturing the uniform and facial expression of this great military leader is superb. Condition: In excellent condition, please see photos for confirmation.
