Produced for approximately one year before being discontinued, this amber pendant surfaces very infrequently on the secondary market. The stone sits in a gold bezel with small jump rings on either side connecting it to the fine 1.6mm cable chain. All hallmarks are present and clear.

Elsa Peretti began her collaboration with Tiffany & Co. in 1974, and her work remains among the most collected in the house's history. — Her designs are defined by organic, body-conscious forms that blur the line between jewelry and sculpture, and the use of natural amber — itself a material with millions of years of history — is characteristic of her sensitivity to the natural world.

Condition Very Good. Amber is a natural, organic material and some degree of surface variation is inherent — small pits, light crazing, and minor surface irregularities are characteristic of the stone as it ages, and a sign of it's authenticity, rather than signs of damage, and may well have been embraced as part of Peretti's intention to work with amber in its most natural state.
