Scab was known for combining chrome-plated metal with colored plastic, a material mix typical of post-war modernism and still associated with italian design of that era.

the ladder is a classic a-frame design: a sturdy frame made of chrome-plated round steel tubing, reinforced by cross braces and plastic connectors. The striking orange steps, made of wood with a plastic overlay, provide a vibrant contrast to the cool chrome. The upper joints and connectors are made of light-colored plastic, some embossed with the letters s.c.a.b., clearly identifying the manufacturer. The ladder combines functionality with a clean, modern design language, common in italian homes of the 1960s.

condition: the ladder is in good, functional vintage condition. The chrome-plated metal frame shows slight signs of age-related wear, but remains shiny and sturdy. The plastic parts are intact, with only minor discoloration. The colored steps are well-preserved and show only slight wear on the edges. Overall, an authentic piece of italian industrial design with charming period character.
