the frame and sides are made of solid wood, finished in a dark oak stain. Numerous details are carved into the wood, featuring floral, leaf, and scroll motifs in the louis xv style.
the headboard and footboard are identical, the same size, with curved, scrolled shapes in the louis xv style, reminiscent of a louis xv bed.
the headboards are upholstered on both sides in pale pink satin fabric with lighter floral motifs; the fabric is very luminous and original.
the legs are curved and decorated, with scrolled ends on sabots. A central leg in the middle of the side ensures perfect stability.
this bed can be easily disassembled using roman-head screws.
a custom-made foam mattress and box spring are included. This antique bed comes from a child's bedroom in a stone house in a small village in the aveyron region of southern france. Assembled bed dimensions: 215 cm long, 91 cm high, 90 cm deep.
