A handsome mahogany three-door library bookcase in the georgian revival taste, dating to around 1910. The upper section features three glazed doors with gothic arch astragal glazing bars, enclosing adjustable bookshelves ideal for displaying books or decorative objects above runs a decorative blind fret frieze of repeating lancet arches, adding architectural interest beneath the moulded cornice bought from a private house sale in london's belgravia. The lower section comprises three cupboard doors with beautifully figured flame mahogany panels, the grain forming striking symmetrical patterns. The bookcase stands on a plinth base with shaped bracket feet and retains a rich warm mahogany colour throughout. A classic and practical english library cabinet, offering excellent storage with display shelving above and enclosed cupboards below.
