Beautiful, rare, unique. Collectible glazed earthenware teapot, American studio pottery, vintage 1950s-1970s, in the style of David Constantine White and more broadly of the post-war American studio pottery movement. Abstract decoration in vibrant colors on a blue background. Balanced organic shape with an elongated spout and fitted lid. The earthenware handle with a black patina has a more rustic look that contrasts with the colored glaze. Painted signature under the base to be identified.
17cm long, 16cm maximum height to the handle, 10cm maximum width. Very good overall condition, with some minor firing irregularities and micro-wear on the handle, as well as a very discreet 2mm chip on the spout. Approximately 650-700g.
