Faces - contemporary portrait: original ink drawing on paper by rafał kolinski
the artwork presents a striking portrait, seamlessly blending realism and abstraction. The central figure's face emerges from a cascade of vertical lines, creating an impression of movement and depth. This unique interplay of light and shadow enhances the ethereal quality of the subject, whose gaze is both intense and contemplative. A bold horizontal division across the face disrupts the composition, injecting tension and intrigue. Below, a darker, abstract element anchors the piece, drawing attention to the lower portion. The monochromatic palette emphasizes the complex textures, highlighting the meticulous detail and skillful use of shading. This piece captivates with its emotive aura and innovative technique, evoking a sense of mystery and introspection.
