This mid-century wall lamp stands out for its perforated shade, which creates a subtle graphic play of light on the wall, combined with a clear, functional design. An early example of dutch design from the 1950s. This model was produced by n.v. V/h hiemstra & evenblij in delft, the netherlands, between 1951 and 1952 and is among the first editions from the original catalogue. The lamp is documented in the perfolux brochure from 1951–1952. The design originates from the hiemstra & evenblij design team, consisting of niek hiemstra, hans joachim jülkenbeck, hansje raab, ella robertson and arie vermeer. Executed in metal in white and grey, featuring a perforated conical shade and a triangular wall arm made of bent steel. Dimensions: h 43 x w 18.5 x d 30 cm. Source: perfolux catalogue, 1951–1952. The lamp remains in original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. The wiring has been checked by an electrician. Fitted with an e27 socket and suitable for incandescent, led, energy-saving and halogen bulbs.
