These are two lovely Chinese Ming-style side chairs, with the classic aesthetic, characterized by simple lines, narrow back slat, and a "yoke" or "official's hat" crest rail. These are typically made of rosewood or elm and, we believe these are rosewood. These appear to be modern reproductions, dating to the mid 20th century, and have a glossy golden brown finish.

There is some evidence of aging in the way of dings, but they are minor, and primarily found at the base of the legs. Slight fading of the finish at the top of the crest (see photos). Truly outstanding condition! less
