An exceptionally well-preserved two-tier sideboard or credenza by Randers Mobelfabrik, made in Denmark c. 1960s.
A pair of teak cabinets floats within a solid oak frame, suspended by hidden hardware. The cabinets feature sleekly beveled edges and elegantly sculpted pulls, adding layers of visual texture to an already eye-catching design. The combination of materials provides contrast in color and grain patterns between two of the most frequently used woods in Danish Modern design.
Felt-lined drawers indicate it was originally designed for a dining room, but it functions equally well in the living room as a storage and display unit. Empty space above and below the lower cabinet makes it feel lighter than a standard bookcase.
Structurally solid and ready for its next home. Light vintage wear throughout. Overall in excellent vintage condition.
