This sculptural double candle holder is a striking example of German metalwork from the 1970s. Designed by the renowned sculptor and metalworker Michael Harjes (Harjes Metallkunst), it captivates with its organic, almost fluid form.
The piece was crafted using a complex bronze casting process. The hand-finished surface and deep, dark patina are characteristic of the Brutalism of this era. The dynamic, intertwined lines make the candle holder appear as a sculpture in its own right from every angle.
The piece is signed on the underside with the typical workshop mark (a hallmark within a triangle). A high-quality collector's item for lovers of Mid-Century Modern design.
