It is a transistor device (solid state technology) featuring a classic design of the time with a wooden cabinet and brushed aluminum front panel with a black glass top section. An entirely transistor integrated amplifier, known for a warm sound reminiscent of the tube sounds of the time. Equipped with two iconic backlit vu meters for monitoring the levels of the left and right channels, aluminum knobs for volume and balance, and controls for bass and treble. It features toggle switches for the loudness functions, high/low filters, and a speaker selector. The dual 1009 turntable was the company's first model to meet the high fidelity standards of the time, offering performance comparable to professional models in a compact format.
