An impressive, large-scale studio pottery planter handcrafted by the renowned Hungarian ceramicist Magda Szemlér (1923–2005). The piece features a robust, modernist silhouette with a wide, horizontally ribbed (concentric) textured body and a tapered pedestal base.
Wheel-thrown or hand-built stoneware with a characteristic "chamotte" (grog) texture. It is finished with a sophisticated glaze in earthy tones—ranging from deep amber and sienna to metallic, iridescent greyish-white highlights.
Signed by the artist on the base (marked SZ.M)
