This set of two console tables is a masterpiece of 1920s Czechoslovak Art Deco, combining geometric modernism with exceptionally high-quality materials. The furniture is constructed from solid blockboard, veneered on the visible surfaces with exclusive woods. The drawer fronts feature bright cherry veneer with a delicate grain, while the tops and sides are finished in luxurious walnut burl, whose rich and deep texture adds a unique visual dynamism to the pieces.
The design of both units is characterized by asymmetrical elegance, where one side of the table flows seamlessly into a vertical leg, while the other ends in a dynamically extended, upward-curved edge, reminiscent of the aerodynamic elements of contemporary modernism. The set consists of two pieces with different functional layouts; the longer table features three drawers, while the shorter version is equipped with two drawers. All drawers are fitted with original minimalist brass handles, which subtly complement the flow of the veneered surfaces without distraction.
The items have undergone professional restoration, during which the original polish was sensitively revived. This process restored the woods depth and silky luster without compromising its precious historical patina. These tables are ideal for representative halls, living rooms, or as a stylish addition to an interior divider. with their top-tier craftsmanship and rare combination of veneers, these consoles represent high collectible and functional value.
