I had these cabinets custom made for me by Jones Ward Design Solutions in Chicago in 2023, according to the best library standards for preservation of these rare and delicate materials. There are adjusable shelves for the books, slanted display shelves, large flat file drawers and pull out drawers for use as needed. All glass doors lock.

The is actually 7 pieces, size in the description following. There are three bottom pieces holding the flat files and drawers, a top that strecthes across and becomes the base for the upper three book shelf units.

The primary material is laminated plywood. The shelves are powder coated bent metal. Many collectors make the mistake of using wood, which is bad for preservation because of the chemicals in wood finishes. This is why major libraries use only metal shelving to hold their vast collections. See less
