Vintage Sterling Silver 950 Mary & Baby Jesus Greek Icon 13” x 20”. This is one of the larger icons that I have seen.
Beautiful oversized vintage Greek Icon. This piece is made with 950 silver on a solid wood frame. This piece was made in Greece by Anastasios company.
These icons are also painted by artists in Greece, then covered in the silver repousse work.
950 silver has a higher & purer silver content than 925 sterling silver. The 950 represents 95% sterling and 5% alloy.
This piece is about 25-30 years old, came directly from Greece.
The solid frame has a hook on the back for hanging.
