Remarkably crafted in France, they embody the Neo-Renaissance style, richly incorporating ornamental motifs from Antiquity and the 16th century.
The shaft of each column is a veritable sculpted narrative. The central section is adorned with exquisitely delicate foliage scrolls and volutes, while the base is encircled by a figurative bas-relief depicting classical figures in the spirit of bacchanalian or pastoral scenes. The whole is crowned by composite capitals combining acanthus leaves and Ionic volutes, providing a perfect base for busts, vases, or light fixtures. These columns, of exceptional density and weight, possess remarkable stability. Over time, the stone has acquired a nuanced patina, punctuated by traces of natural moss that lend it the charm of a "sleeping garden." Regarding its preservation, one corner is damaged on the base of one of the columns; this minor flaw, far from compromising the structure, reinforces their authentic character as excavated pieces or decorative elements from a historic residence.
