This Victorian-style antique twin bed frame has an ornate scalloped silhouette and central sunburst or fan-shaped spindles. It is estimated to be from the late 19th century and is consistent with the Art Nouveau movement, with its flowing, natural curves. The headboard has a high arch and decorative floral medallions where the bars meet. The footboard is similarly styled, but is lower in height. This particular design is hard to find.
Features that authenticate that it's a true antique include slightly raised seam lines on the floral motifs and horseshoe-shaped mortise and tenon joinery, rather than modern bolts. The two original side rails are included
It has been painted an antique white and is a bit "chippy" in spots, which adds to its shabby chic charm.

The paint finish is chippy in spots and there is some minor, sporadic surface rusting (see photos), but none of the areas have begun to corrode. All in all, this lovely bed is fantastic! less
