The piece features a vibrant aged red finish on the drawer fronts (typical of classic lacquer-style staining), paired with extensive hand-forged black wrought-iron hardware: ornate corner reinforcements, decorative lock plates with traditional floral and scroll motifs, elegant bail handles, vertical iron strapping with medallions on the right side, and classic side carrying handles that allow the chest to be easily moved – a hallmark of authentic tansu design.
