Very rare blue monochromatic rugs (they are usually red), they come mainly from the area around Azrou, an important Berber town located along important trade routes from Meknes and Fez to Khenifra and Midelt. A distinguishing feature are the small decorative elements in a darker shade, testifying to the use of indigo as a dye. See less
