An imposing Renaissance-style bookcase, crafted entirely from solid walnut. A very high-quality Italian piece of cabinetmaking, richly carved and superbly balanced.
Front
Four doors with stained glass windows set within highly sculpted frames.
Abundant decoration including:
• pilastered columns
• satyrs
• foliate interlacing
• stylized dolphins
• other decorative elements typical of the Renaissance
Upper Section
Scalloped cornice on the sides and front
Lower Section
Large compartment designed to resemble drawers
Legs adorned with mascarons
