An imposing Renaissance-style notary's cabinet, crafted from solid walnut in the 19th century, boasts a monumental and richly decorated design.

The front features six molded doors surmounted by three drawers in the frieze, each fitted with a pull ring.

The upper section is structured around a central niche, framed by columns adorned with sculpted capitals, lending the piece a very elegant architectural appearance.

The molded and sculpted panels, as well as the decorated uprights, demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship and joinery. The sides are also molded and decorated, a sign of a piece made with great care.

The entire piece rests on an overhanging plinth, reinforcing its substantial character and decorative presence.

This type of furniture was designed for storing archives and registers in notary offices, hence its traditional name: notary's cabinet.
