Dimensions: Height x Width x Depth 120 x 89 x 41 cm. This beautiful, original Alpine-style bread cupboard dates from the late 18th century and is a true gem of Alpine craftsmanship. Made of solid spruce wood, the cupboard impresses with its robust construction and authentic, rustic charm. Typical of the Alpine style, the cupboard is characterized by its clean lines and simple form, which are enhanced by artistic hand carvings and delicate decorative moldings. The wood surface is in very good original condition. The back panel has been replaced. Inside the cupboard, spacious shelves offer ample storage space for textiles and other treasures. The original hand-forged iron keys and fittings are well preserved and testify to the high craftsmanship of this piece of furniture. This bread cupboard has one door on the right, supported by visible hinges, and four practical drawers on the left, each operated by a porcelain knob. The door can be closed simply by pulling and pushing. (No lock.) The interior of this Almer cupboard has a wood scent. The piece has been restored with great care and expertise, including new moldings, with great attention paid to preserving the cupboard's original character and bringing it to excellent, usable condition.
