The gently curved, split-rail back is the chairs' most distinctive feature: two horizontal bars taper toward the center and splay at the outer edges, creating an openwork crest that is simultaneously functional and sculptural.

The pentagonal mesh seats are formed from expanded metal in a diamond grid pattern, providing both structural rigidity and visual lightness. Four slender rod legs extend at a slight outward angle and terminate in small pad feet, giving each chair a poised, almost calligraphic stance reminiscent of work associated with Salterini, Woodard, or their European contemporaries.
