I did add some lighter fluid to it and tested it, more than once, I might add. It did work. However, due to mailing restrictions, it is sold as a novelty piece. This dandy little boot stands at 5 inches high by 2 inches wide and 5 inches deep. It was made during the 1950's and many were sold but few remain now. I found this l lighter in an Las Vegas, NV at an antique store. See less
