The piece belongs to the so-called “studio glass” movement and combines the function of a decorative sculpture with that of a collectible paperweight.
The form is crafted from solid, optically transparent glass featuring an internal composition of colorful swirls in shades of navy blue, turquoise, orange, and golden flecks. The dynamic, spiral arrangement of colors creates an effect of depth and movement characteristic of contemporary glass art.
The bottom of the piece is polished and signed by the artist: “Karg 1997”.
The sculpture is perfect as a decorative interior element or a collector’s item representing American art glass of the late 20th century.
