It is a prime … Read more This pendant lamp is a design object by Herbert Proft, created for the renowned Limburg glassworks. It is a prime example of the combination of cool elegance and captivating lighting effects that made the Space Age era so unique. This lamp was produced in a smaller version with a diameter of 26 cm, as well as this larger version with a diameter of 31 cm. In both versions, the shade made of frosted glass is the striking highlight: its surface resembles frozen water, refracting the light and gently scattering it in all directions. The shape is particularly ingenious – the glass curves inwards at the bottom in a semicircle, giving the light additional depth. The cable is housed in a simple, polished chrome cylinder, which is finished with three striking chrome screws. These technical details underscore the high-quality, almost industrial character of the design. Thanks to the special structure of the frosted glass, the entire room is bathed in a brilliant, atmospheric light without glare. The combination of glass and chrome creates a timeless look that fits perfectly in modern living spaces or hallways. Please note: The cable cannot be replaced on this lamp. We have already installed a new black cable, so the light is in perfect working order and ready to use. The cable is 2 meters long.
