Roger Capron, coffee table, beech, mahogany, ceramic, France, 1960s
This elegant French rectangular coffee table from the 1960s is a design by Roger Capron, known for his iconic ceramic work. The tabletop is composed of ceramic tiles bordered with artistic imprints of leaves, flowers, and botanical motifs, inspired by the Provençal landscape. The center tiles feature warm earthy tones with subtle texture variations, creating a natural and inviting surface. Supported by cylindrically shaped legs in dark-stained beech, the base adds stability and complements the decorative top. This table serves as an example of Capron his vision and craftsmanship.
