Inspired by 17th-century pharmacy vessels, the jar is hand-painted with a cobalt and ochre portrait bust flanked by stylized wings and the inscription CANTHOS—most likely a reference to an ocular remedy. with its pronounced craquelure glaze and decorative “1684” date, this antique table lamp bridges classical medicinal traditions with the ornamental sensibilities of the late 19th century, offering a refined accent for interiors rooted in history.
