Kalmar in austria during the 1960s. The design beautifully reflects the refined craftsmanship and sculptural lighting concepts for which kalmar became internationally known during the mid-century period. Each fixture is composed of multiple hand-blown ice glass elements arranged in a clustered formation reminiscent of blooming tulip buds. The textured glass surfaces capture and diffuse the light in a soft, atmospheric way, creating a warm glow while adding depth and visual interest. When illuminated, the irregular, crystalline texture of the glass produces a sparkling effect that enhances the sculptural presence of the lamps.
