A louis xvi period mahogany sideboard stamped dester with the guild mark beneath the marble top. Godefroy dester (1768-1805), received as a master craftsman in paris on july 27, 1774, practiced his craft on the rue du faubourg saint-antoine at least until 1790. This sideboard opens with four doors and four interior drawers. This louis xvi sideboard is in very good condition and of fine cabinetmaking quality. The marble top features a central projection and rounded corners on the front.
