Pair of italian wall sconces from the 1950s, crafted in brass with opaline glass diffusers. The design is simple and well balanced, combining a gently curved brass arm with a softly faceted opaline glass shade.
each sconce is mounted on a circular brass wall plate measuring 10 cm in diameter (approximately 3.9 inches). From this plate, a slender brass arm extends outward before bending downward in a smooth angular curve, creating a light and elegant profile. The opaline glass shade has a tapered geometric form with subtle facets that soften the transition between the narrower top and the wider lower section. This shape diffuses the light evenly while giving the fixture a quiet sculptural presence.
the warm tone of the brass contrasts subtly with the matte white surface of the opaline glass, a combination typical of italian mid-century lighting design.
