These mid century studio pottery pieces are hand-thrown with a speckled glaze and feature a carved sgraffito geometric band, a signature design associated with Los Artesanos ceramics.

Los Artesanos operated from 1948 through the mid 1960s and is recognized as an important part of the mid century modern Caribbean studio pottery movement. Each piece was individually formed and wood-fired, resulting in natural variation in glaze, tone, and surface texture.
