The Baker table (Model # 7837G) is featured in Baker's Thomas Pheasant catalog on page 35. The substantial mahogany top is veneered in a dramatic book-matched sunburst design, showcasing the deep and fluid grain patterns. The top rests on a tapering column transitioning into a reeded drum column highlighted with gilt-toned banding. The column is mounted to a sculptural quad-form base ending with gracefully scrolled feet. The piece harmoniously blends Neoclassical, Georgian, English Regency, and Empire influences making it well suited to a variety of spaces, and is functional as a center table, or dining table.
