Cast in polished bronze, the sculpture presents a female gymnast captured in a dramatic moment of athletic extension. The figure balances delicately on a single foot positioned at the top of a spherical globe while the body arches gracefully forward. One arm extends outward while the other guides a slender ribbon that spirals fluidly through space, reinforcing the sense of motion central to rhythmic gymnastics. The gymnast’s elongated proportions and fluid lines reflect the influence of Art Deco–inspired figurative sculpture, while the polished bronze surface accentuates the sculptural modelling of the body and the elegance of the pose.
