Decorative Portuguese modernist azulejo tile panel composed of four relief ceramic tiles forming a circular geometric motif. Produced in Portugal during the 1950s, 1960s, the design features radiating fan-shaped elements surrounded by rounded cabochon-like reliefs.
The tiles are finished with a rich brown glaze contrasted by textured off-white crackle accents, creating a sculptural effect typical of Portuguese mid-century ceramic wall decoration.
When assembled, the four tiles form a harmonious and highly graphic circular composition.
Through its aesthetic and sculptural relief work, this panel reflects the spirit of Portuguese modernist ceramics and can be considered in the style of Luís Ferreira da Silva, an important figure in the renewal of Portuguese architectural ceramics during the 1950s–1970s.
Ideal as wall art, architectural decoration, or as part of a modernist ceramic tile collection.
Each tile measures 15 × 15 cm (5.9 × 5.9 in), forming a square panel when displayed together.
