A nice and visually striking chandelier, model 2095/9, designed by the legendary gino sarfatti and produced by arteluce, italy, in 1958. This large and elegant fixture is a perfect embodiment of sarfatti’s groundbreaking approach to lighting, combining minimalism, functionality, and sculptural sophistication. The chandelier features nine transparent glass sphere-shaped diffusers, each supported by a polished aluminum holder that adds a refined contrast to the clarity of the glass. These are suspended from an ingeniously designed black ceiling fitting with 9 flat, polished aluminum canopies and it still has its authentic black fabric cable. The ceiling plate incorporates an asymmetrical cut-out system, allowing the glass shades to hang without touching and enabling alternate configurations based on preference or spatial needs. The cable lengths are also adjustable, offering additional flexibility in both height and arrangement. The chandelier retains its original arteluce label inside one of the shade holders—a subtle but significant detail that affirms its provenance and authenticity. It remains in very good original condition, with only minor signs of age and minimal use, consistent with careful ownership and preservation over the decades. When lit, the chandelier casts a soft, spherical glow, creating a warm and atmospheric ambiance that complements its clean, architectural lines. It uses 9 x e27 bulbs, each up to 25 watts, allowing for ample but elegant illumination. Literature; gino sarfatti 1938-1973 selected works silvana editoriale, romanelli & severi. Page 298 & 473. A truly iconic piece of italian modernist design, this chandelier not only functions as a source of light but as a statement of innovation and timeless style. Highly collectible and increasingly rare on the market, it is a fitting addition to any curated interior. This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is also suitable for use in the usa as is. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
