An elegant Louis XV style sewing table, crafted in mahogany and rosewood marquetry, adorned on the front with a delicately painted medallion of a cherub, set within a gilt-bronze cartouche whose rocaille scrolls emphasize the subject's gentleness. Its top is entirely decorated with meticulously executed checkerboard marquetry and encircled by a molding, adding a brilliant line that accentuates the sinuous shape of the rim.
The interior of the sewing table is lined with blue velvet, providing a refined and contrasting touch, and demonstrating the care taken in the arrangement of the compartment.
The bronze ornamentation continues on the cabriole legs, embellished at the top with foliate appliqués ending in finely crafted sabots. The sides are fitted with bronze handles, both decorative and functional, perfectly integrated into the overall rocaille aesthetic. This refined piece, combining virtuoso marquetry and the brilliance of bronze, embodies all the charm and delicacy of the Louis XV style.
