A refined late 19th-century English corner chair crafted in richly toned walnut, executed in the Queen Anne Revival taste. The chair features a continuous, gracefully curved crest rail forming integrated arm supports, above finely pierced splat backs with elegant scrollwork. The shaped triangular seat rests within a molded rail, raised on a cabriole front leg terminating in a pad foot, with turned rear supports joined by stretchers for stability.
The proportions are well balanced, offering both decorative presence and functional comfort—ideal as an occasional or accent chair. The warm patina and depth of color have been carefully preserved through a sensitive restoration, highlighting the natural character of the wood. Newly upholstered seat in a soft patterned fabric.
A charming and versatile piece, embodying the late Victorian reinterpretation of early 18th-century English design.
